2 Displaced When Menifee Home Catches Fire

Twenty-eight firefighters responded to the fire in the 28600 block of Williams Drive in Menifee.

Two adults and two dogs were displaced Tuesday when a fire caused extensive damage to their Menifee home, a fire official reported.

The blaze was reported at 5:55 p.m. in the 28600 block of Williams Drive, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department Spokesman Mark Annas.

Twenty-eight firefighters responded to the single-story home and had the fire contained by 6:45 p.m., Annas wrote.

Heavy damage to the residence and three outbuildings was reported.

Red Cross was called to assist the two displaced residents, and animal control responded to care for the two displaced dogs.

No one was injured in the fire that remained under investigation.
