Two women were arrested Thursday on suspicion of prostituting themselves at massage parlors in Murrieta.
Their arrests followed an undercover operation conducted "into possible illegal activity occurring at various massage parlors operating in the city," Murrieta police Sgt. Steve Dyer stated in a news release.
"The operation was conducted due to recent complaints at specific establishments...," Dyer stated.
Ming Yu Han, 44, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Murrieta Massage Center, 25296 Madison Avenue.
Ying Guan, 52, was taken into police custody at 7:27 p.m. Thursday at New Energy Massage, 40365 Murrieta Hot Springs Road.
Both women were booked into Southwest Detention Center near Murrieta on the misdemeanor charge, and were cited and released on $2,500 bail. The women are due in court April 8.
"Code Enforcement officers will be conducting additional follow up as a result of the illegal activity at the locations," Dyer stated.
