19 Arrested During Temecula Area DUI, Traffic Warrant Sweep

The sweep was conducted Wednesday in Temecula and surrounding unincorporated county areas, with the majority of arrestees wanted on outstanding DUI warrants, a police sergeant said.

Nineteen people were arrested Wednesday when the Temecula Police Department Traffic Division and the California Highway Patrol-Temecula Office conducted a warrant sweep.

“The goal was to locate and arrest subjects who had outstanding warrants related to traffic offenses within the city of Temecula and the outlying county area,” Temecula police Sgt. Dean Spivacke stated in a news release issued Thursday.

The majority of those taken into custody had outstanding warrants related to alleged DUI offenses, Spivacke told Patch.
