12-Year-Old Murrieta Boy Arrested for Felony Vandalism

Police suspect the boy is a tagger known as "Zero."

A 12-year-old Murrieta boy was arrested Saturday morning by police, accused of causing more than $15,000 in graffiti damage in a three-month span, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

Police say the juvenile is known as “Zero” and detectives found evidence linking him to several acts of vandalism. Detectives from the Murrieta/Temecula Region Gang Task Force served a search warrant at the juvenile’s home in the 20000 block of Matador Way at 10 a.m. Saturday. The suspect’s father was home when the search warrant was served, according to police.

The juvenile faces multiple counts of felony vandalism and was booked into Southwest Juvenile Hall, according to police.
