Murrieta Haunted House: Are You Brave Enough?

The House that Death Built is open to the public in Murrieta.

Halloween is special for Murrieta resident Chris O’Keefe.

So special that he has been working on his haunted house since June—collecting, painting, creating little items and putting them in just the right place to make you scream with terror; making sure that everything is “just right” to make The House that Death Built a terrifying experience.

Asked why he puts so much effort into the Halloween holiday, O’Keefe says it is family tradition. Seems Chris’ dad built haunted houses ever since he was a little kid, and that part of the kid just never grew old.

When we visited, he was painting special sound effects canisters and finishing final touches.

There is another haunted house open to the public. After providing spooks and thrills all last weekend, will be open again Halloween night.

Admission is free but they do accept donations.

Happy Halloween.
