Busloads of Abandoned Children: Strategy of Crisis & Shock News

The busloads of abandoned children   across our borders is the topic of news media and people living on border towns.

·         What happened to the Nigerian girls? Have they been released?  Are they unharmed?

·         What happened to Meriam the Pregnant Woman imprisoned for her faith with her two American children, now re-arrested on new charges.

·         What happened to American Sgt. Tahmooressi imprisoned in Mexico to this day by a geographical error which is strangely over-enforced on the  Mexican side yet not vice-a-versa

·         What happened to Benghazi?  We will not not forget this; listen up President Obama and heir apparent Hillary.

Yesterday Matt Lauer used his platform to create a flurry of attention and boost his popularity ratings on social media with the moniker for comments #RefugeeRiders.    I won’t suggest he used his influence since I don’t know how many people actually pay attention to him.  Nevertheless, yesterday he commented about the situation…the incident…the tragedy occurring at our borders with BUSLOADS of children abandoned.  Yes abandoned is the accurate description for what these parents have done. 

Let’s look at the most visible time in history when children were loaded on a vehicle for their protection.  The English put their children on planes and ships to America in order to protect them because they feared their nation would be overtaken.  Those of the Jewish faith, living in various nations, hid their children or allowed them to be taken by Christians for protection.  

Matt Lauer ignorantly compared the busloads of children at our borders to the AMERICAN CHILDREN OF THE SOUTH.  HUH?  They were citizens who were wanted civil rights, they were not ABANDONDED children being used as pawns for politicians in both Mexico and USA.   

Let’s ask ourselves a simple question. Why are the parents willing to send their children to America?  OPPORTUNITY.  The same opportunity you and I and every other person have access to in this Nation People around the world have stood in line, passed health tests, waited in fear (while armies invaded their nation) until they had a sponsor; all to have access to live in AMERICA.    These children, sitting in a bus, are no less needy than any of the millions of people who entered the country through proper channels.  BUT one thing makes them different.  Their parents are either being paid or they have been deceived by someone paid.  Deceived to think DACA is applicable by sticking one toe in the States.  No! There is a two year term to DACA but more importantly it applied ONLY TO THOSE HERE BEFORE JUNE 2012.

America is the land of opportunity because we have a system which works because we have a CONSISTENT DOCUMENT:     THE US CONSTITUTION. 

 How? Why? We are governed by a Republic, which is structured so the government does not change every two or four years, unlike the countries from which people leave to come here.  

I believe this ploy by those who would whittle the immigration laws to nothing, right before the Fourth of July, is an amoral tactic to wear our emotions down with issue after issue.

Brad Sherman is the Representative in Congress for the West San Fernando Valley.  He has been in office 9 terms and has done NOTHING in the way of offering a solution or pressing for resolution to the immigration mess we have today.  20 years after amnesty was granted to the last group of people we still have not set a platform to make sure we are not diluting the process for every other diligent immigrant.

Keep this in mind – there must be something valuable about AMERICA that so many people want to get in to the country.  Perish the thought that some dim witted Representative (especially one who mocks the glory of our Flag by turning it into a commodity for his song-and-dance show) would suggest we build a wall to keep us all INSIDE the borders for our own protection.
