5 Things To Know In Murrieta Today: Nov. 19

Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Chick-fil-A, 24794 Madison Ave., will be hosting a fundraiser for the son of Shanae Christina Wesley.

1. The sun is expected to shine today according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, today will be mostly sunny with a high around 72. Tonight, there will be partly cloudy skies and a low around 43.

2. Students of the Murrieta Valley Unified School District are now on Thanksgiving break. Beginning today, all schools will be closed. Although open to the public, the District Support Center, 41870 McAlby Court, will have holiday hours. School will resume Monday, Nov. 26.

3. Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Chick-fil-A, 24794 Madison Ave., will be hosting a fundraiser for the 3-year-old son of Shanae Christina Wesley. Chick-fil-A will donate 20 percent of the total earnings for the night to a trust fund set up in his name.

4. Just in time for vacation, today is game day at Ryan’s Comics. Play your favorite game in the shop and demo any board game with your friends. Also, for every eight Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic the Gathering, a tournament will launch. This is an all-day event. For more information and store hours, click here.

5. The Murrieta Senior Center, located at 41717 Juniper St., offers many free services for those 50 and older that you may not know about. For instance, movie night and game time. Plus, every Monday they offer free blood pressure screening. Those 50 and older can closely monitor their blood pressure by getting it checked for free. Blood pressure screenings are also held the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. For more information, click here.
