5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Nov. 24

Shop local today for Small Business Saturday.

1. It will be another warm one today, according to the National Weather Service. Today is expected to be sunny with a high near 87. Tonight, expect clear skies and a low around 46.

2. Today is Small Business Saturday, sponsored by American Express as a day for everyone to support the small businesses their community thrives on. Use this online map to find qualifying merchants. You can also “like” Small Business Saturday on Facebook by visiting Facebook.com/shopsmall.

3. LifeStream invites all healthy residents to donate blood today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at . Donors receive—while supplies last—a coupon for a free round of miniature golf, courtesy of Mulligan Family Fun Center; and two free movie tickets. Donors must be at least 15 years of age, in general good health and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.

4Head to Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl, 40440 California Oaks Road, for some bowling fun. Cosmic Bowling takes place from midnight to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Music, laser lights, black lights and glow-in-the-dark features all make Cosmic Bowling nights out of this world.

5. UltraStar Cinemas in Temecula is offering a Kid Toons Family Matinee. This is a weekly program that provides families with G-Rated entertainment. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., 27531 Ynez Road in Temecula, admission is $2.50. The feature for November: “Welcome to LazyTown.”
