1.Rain, wind and a possible thunderstorm are on tap today, according to the National Weather Service. The daytime high will be near 51. More rain is forecast for tonight, with a low around 37.

2The eighth annual Tour de Murrieta, recently recognized as one of Southern California’s fastest growing three-day cycling events, begins today and runs through the weekend.

3. Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: tostada bowl. Lunches are served with a fresh fruit/salad bar and a choice of juice or milk. Lunches average about 658 calories and 16.29 percent fat. To see middle and high school menus, click here.

4.  Ryan’s Comics, 25021 Madison Ave., is hosting a Magic 2013 launch party tonight beginning at 7 p.m. There will be a free standard construction tournament and $10 drafts. Sign-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will also be awarded.

5.  For the car enthusiast, head to the Temecula Rod Run for their famous "Friday Night Cruise" and see hundreds of classic vehicles from all over the country cruise Old Town Front Street. The city of Temecula locks down Old Town from Arch to Arch to allow these classic beauties to run wild. Come watch while these classic vehicles roam around, rev up their engines, honk their horns and show off their stuff. Beginning at 5 p.m., the event is free and open to the public.
