5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Jan. 9

The sun will shine today.

1. It will be another warm one, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 72. Tonight, expect rain after 4 a.m. and a low around 43.

2. Make tonight a family night out at Big Cheese Pizza, where every Wednesday night kids eat free. Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., those ages 10 and under eat free with an adult meal purchase. Big Cheese Pizza is at 41080 California Oaks Road.

3. It’s new comic book day at Ryan’s Comics, 25021 Madison Ave. Parents can feel nostalgia as they take their kids to get the latest issues of their favorite comics.

4. Murrieta Lunch with Friends, held every Wednesday at noon, will take place today at Spelly’s Pub and Grille. The charge is for $10 per person. The purpose of Murrieta Lunch with Friends is to expose the group to restaurants in Murrieta, to bring in a good lunch crowd for Murrieta restaurants, and to make some new lunch-time friends. 5. Bingo lovers young and old can take in a weekly bingo game, hosted by Congregation B'nai Chaim, 29500 Via Princesa. Early bird games start at 6 p.m. each Wednesday, followed by regular games at 7 p.m. All members of the community are invited to take part.
