5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Feb. 16

Crafts, a carnival and a blood drive are all on the schedule today.

1. The beginning of the weekend will be warm, according to the National Weather Service. Today expect sunny skies with a high near 78, but be aware that a wind advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tonight, expect mostly clear skies and a low near 41.

2. LifeStream invites all healthy residents to donate blood today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl at 40440 California Oaks Road. Donors will receive a coupon for a free round of bowling courtesy of Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl . Donors must be at least 15 years of age, be in general good health, and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.

3. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Lakeshore Learning Center, kids can create a desk buddy pencil holder.  Located at 24420 Village Walk Place, the activity is free and materials will be provided. Get there early, as it is first come first serve

4. Join Promenade Temecula to experience endless fun-filled adventures for the whole family at its Promenade Carnival from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and repeating Sunday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Promenade Temecula’s west parking lot has been transformed into an amusement mecca, filled with breath-stealing, spectacular rides and classic carnival games. 5. Head back to Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl, 40440 California Oaks Road, for some bowling fun. Cosmic Bowling takes place on Fridays and Saturdays late night, from midnight to 2 a.m. Music, laser lights, black lights and glow-in-the-dark features all make Cosmic Bowling nights out of this world.
