5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Feb. 11

The Murrieta Valley High School Choir is putting on its annual Valentine's Concert at 6 p.m.

1. Patchy fog is expected in the early morning, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, today expect sunny skies with a high near 54. Tonight, expect patchy frost, mostly clear skies and a low near 36.

2. Elementary and middle school students in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District are on an early release schedule today and high schoolers have late start. Parents, check your child's school website, as release times differ. Motorists, beware of students walking and earlier-than-usual traffic near schools.

3. Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: bean and cheese burrito. Lunches are served with a fresh fruit/salad bar and a choice of juice or milk. Lunches average about 658 calories and 16.29 percent fat. To see middle and high school menus, click here.

4. The Murrieta Valley High School Choir is putting on its annual Valentine's Concert beginning at 6 p.m. tonight at 42200 Nighthawk Way. Admission ranges from $8 to $10 with discounts for seniors and students. For more information, click here.
