The Murrieta Panthers are the SoCal AAU 14 Under champions after capping off an undefeated season with an 8-7 win against the Adelanto Raiders on Saturday, Dec. 8.
The Panthers ended the season with the No. 1-scoring offense in the league; however the championship game was highlighted and ultimately won by a very smart, fast and physical defense.
Head Coach Correy Baker had this to say about his team: "This season has been such a fun experience. The boys have worked so hard everyday in practice and they've shown the most heart I've ever seen in any youth team. We have some awesome coaches that prepared these boys and put them in the right spots to win a Championship. This was a true team effort all around and I feel blessed to had been a part of it."
The 14u Panthers will have one more opportunity to show their stuff, as they will play in a National Championship Tournament in January in Las Vegas against teams from Utah, Arizona, Tennessee, Oklahoma and the San Francisco Bay Area.
