Thursday Night's Southwestern League Boys' Hoops Round-up

In Southwestern League Boys' basketball Thursday night, Murrieta teams went 1-2. Murrieta Mesa defeated Chaparral, 56-47 as Davian Neitz scored 16 points, while Brooklen McCarty added 11 and Shondell Smith put in 10. The Rams improved to 2-3 in league and 11-10 overall.
Murrieta Valley lost to Great Oak 67-51 as the Nighthawks dropped to 3-3 in SWL play and 14-8 overall. Jordan Williams had 21 points and 12 rebounds and Kevin Padlo added 17 points for MVHS.
Vista Murrieta also came out on the losing end, falling to league leading Temecula Valley 61-49. Austin Beech led the Broncos with 14 points and Jacob Perry scored 10. VMHS is now 1-5 in league and 10-11 overall.
