My First Political Cartoon

How I came up with my first Political Cartoon...

Growing up, I remember thinking political cartoons were not funny. I read the comics everyday, now those were funny! Why weren't these comics funny. But they were. They were hilarious.

As I got older, I gained an appreciation for it. I just never thought I had the knack for it. Last night my husband and I sat and watched the debates. And surprisingly enough, so did our 15-year-old daughter. She has actually done debates in school for over three years now, and was familiar with some of the tactics.

As the President jotted notes while Governor Romney spoke, she asked if he was making "flow charts." We explained that he probably was making some type of notes, yes, to respond with. She was very keen on that and both of their body language.

I later told my husband that he and I should draw some pictures and caption it: "What Obama was really doing during the debates." We had a good laugh about it, and then almost forgot entirely.

Later, I decided I was going to act on that. Why shouldn't I draw a silly political cartoon. And so I did. So here it is..."What President Obama was really doing during the debates."
