Fundraiser to Benefit Slain Salon Owner's Family

Murrieta Day Spa & Hair Studio is donating 100 percent of services booked Monday to the family of Randy Fannin.

The tragedy in Seal Beach has hit home for a local day spa that employs the daughter of one of the slain.

is launching a fundraiser campaign to help the family of --with funeral costs. Fannin's daughter, Kelli Vasquez, works as a nail technician at the salon.

Murrieta Day Spa plans to donate 100 percent of its proceeds from services booked on Monday, Oct. 17, according to the salon's Facebook page.

"Due to the sudden tragedy of this event we would like to offer support to Kelli’s family in this time of need," the Facebook post states.

Anyone who participates in Monday's fundraiser will also be entered into a raffle to win more than $500 in skin care products. As part of the fundraising effort, guests can book a 50-minute Swedish massage and European Facial for $99.

Further, straight donations are being accepted until Oct. 21, when a check will be presented to the family. Donations can be made online at Mdayspa.com by using the gift certificate tab and indicating Salon Meritage or Kelli Vasquez as the recipient.
