Murrieta Holiday Home Decorating Contest Winners Announced; 'Krampus' Voted Most Creative

Residents voted for their favorites in five categories: Best Block, Holiday Spirit, Best Use of Lights, Most Festive and Most Creative.

The results are in after nearly 4,000 residents cast their votes online for the City of Murrieta’s 2013 Holiday Home Decorating Contest.

“This year, Santa and his judging committee asked for a little help and requested that the public weigh in on rating the best and the brightest that the season has to offer,” said Lea Kolek, Parks and Recreation Manager.

Online voting took place from Dec. 9 through Dec. 18 for 34 total entries (30 houses and four blocks).
