Murrieta Holiday Home Decorating Contest: Map, Online Voting Now Available

Print this map of all the entries, then travel the streets of Murrieta to view the best and the brightest the season has to offer. Then cast your votes online.

Santa and his elves are looking for a little help this year in judging the entries for the City of Murrieta's 2013 Holiday Home Decorating Contest.

"We’re doing the judging a little differently this year," said Parks and Recreation Manager Lea Kolek. "Usually, we have a panel of judges from the community; this year, we’re hoping to get feedback directly from the residents."

Residents can print the attached map of all the entries, then travel the streets of Murrieta to view the best and the brightest the season has to offer.

There are five categories: Best Block, Holiday Spirit, Best Use of Lights, Most Festive, and Most Creative.

Then return to www.murrieta.org/holidaymagic to vote. Online voting goes through Dec. 18 with winners announced on Dec. 20. Winners will receive a special recognition yard sign as well as mention on the City's website. All entries are within the city limits of Murrieta.

Unfortunately, Bainbridge Circle (south of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and east of Winchester/Highway 79) is located just outside the city limits in unincorporated Riverside County, but it is well worth the time to view, according to Kolek.
