Wine Country Homes Decked for Holiday Tour

The Temecula Valley Woman's Club 29th Annual Holiday Homes Tour, a charity event that supports numerous local organizations, continues Sunday, Nov. 17 in Temecula Valley Wine Country.

The holiday spirit arrived in style Saturday in Temecula Valley Wine Country as guests meandered through four estate homes decorated professionally with bows, berries, garlands and more.

It was all part of the Temecula Valley Woman's Club 29th Annual Holiday Home Tour, the nonprofit organization’s largest benefit event of the year. The event, which costs $35 per person, runs again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

“All of the money we raise goes back into community needs,” said Temecula Valley Woman's Club member Lisa Haight. “This year we are donating a large part of the money to a very large concern we have in our community and that is child trafficking.”

Haight explained that the Club selected Women Against Child Trafficking, a Murrieta-based nonprofit, as its special benefactor for this year’s event.

“Child trafficking is in our neighborhoods, it is in our backyards and it is horrific and it is not going away,” Haight said. “And the organization here in Riverside County is doing a lot of good work saving children and getting them off the streets.”

Community members interested in attending Sunday’s home tour may purchase tickets at Danza Del Sol Winery, 39050 De Portola Road in Temecula, where they will be given a map of the homes. Also at the winery, there is a bistro where guests can purchase lunch while browsing a vendor marketplace.

Once at each home, there is free shuttle service offered from designated parking areas.

The interior decorating is donated by local designers, who are at each home to welcome tour-goers. Additionally, many of the decorations are for sale.
