Murrieta Fire Dept. Community Meeting to Discuss Brush Fire Potential

News release from the Murrieta Fire Department:

On Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 6:30 pm. in the Murrieta Community Center located at 40810 Juniper Street, the Murrieta Fire Department will be hosting a community meeting to discuss Wildland Fire Awareness and Disaster Preparedness.

This informative, open forum meeting will include a visual presentation and discussion about the current state of local vegetation and the actions the public can take before, during, and after a vegetation fire.

The Murrieta Firefighters Association will be providing complimentary hamburgers for people in attendance.

Presenters will include Fire Chief Matt Shobert, Battalion Chief Steve Kean, Disaster Preparedness Coordinator Dan Wilson, Murrieta City Mayor Rick Gibbs, and Councilman Alan Long.
