Though great strides have been made in combatting breast cancer, this year more than 45,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with this devastating disease. An annual mammogram is one of the best defenses against breast cancer. In addition to providing important information about mammography and breast health, the Outpatient Imaging and Women’s Diagnostic Center is providing low cost screening mammograms for the discounted rate of $50 for a period of time. The hope is that this special promotion will help all women, including those who are uninsured or underinsured, to get their annual screening mammogram.
The Breast Health event on Wednesday, October 10, will include informative lectures on mammography, breast biopsy options, lymphedema, along with exercise programs, tours of a state-of-the-art imaging center and refreshments. Additional information will be provided by local breast cancer resource organizations.
The event will be held at the Professional Office Building, 28078 Baxter Road, Murrieta, CA 92563. For more information about this event, please call the Outpatient Imaging and Women’s Diagnostic Center at Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta at 951-290-4360.
