Earth Day Celebration at Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley

Habitat for Humanity Inland
Valley
is hosting a community-wide celebration for Earth Day on
Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at both ReStore locations in Temecula
and Lake Elsinore.

The ReStores are retail
outlets and donation centers that sell donated and surplus building materials,
appliances and furniture to the general public at heavily discounted prices.
Shoppers will find appliances, furniture, lighting, flooring, cabinets, tile,
carpet, lumber, doors, windows and more.

There are three primary
benefits of the ReStores:

1.) Environmental Impact:
approximately one pound of materials is saved from going into the waste stream
for every dollar in sales.

2.) Affordable Home
Improvement: items at the ReStore are sold for a fraction of their retail value
and help the general public as well as owners of Habitat homes.

3.) Additional Habitat Home
Construction and Programs: all profits from the ReStore go directly back into the
Inland Valley community, helping to sustain operating costs, fund various
programs and help with home construction for families in need.

The Earth Day Celebration is
a great resource for Inland Valley residents to learn how they can decrease
their carbon footprint. The celebration will include 50% off ReStore inventory
(excluding rugs) at both locations and a hot dog lunch served from 11 a.m.
until 2 p.m.
