Business Skills for Home Performance Contractors to be Focus of Upcoming Event

Energy Upgrade California program offers contractors free home business workshop

Contractors in Riverside County are invited to attend a free workshop on 11/16/2012 to learn about tools available to build a successful home energy retrofit business. The event is hosted by Energy Upgrade California, the statewide program that reduces energy use, saves homeowners money and makes homes healthier, more comfortable and more efficient. The event will provide contractors with valuable information on how to become a participating contractor with the Energy Upgrade California program, as well as the skills and tools necessary to help build a home retrofit business.

Contractors will leave the workshop with a firm understanding of new tools that help to build a successful energy retrofit business, such as:

• Bridges loans
• Tool loans
• Small business loans
• Loans for your customers
• Energy efficiency rebates
• Bulk purchasing of materials and supplies
