"Forces of Nature" features the work of four local artists. An artists' reception is scheduled for Saturday at the Murrieta Public Library.

The second exhibit of Local Art in Public Places is now on display at the Murrieta Public Library.

LAPP is a new, all-volunteer art program, dedicated to providing southwest Riverside County artists an opportunity to submit and exhibit their works for public viewing.

"The LAPP Committee is very excited about the beauty and style of the pieces that were selected," said LAPP Coordinator, Lyndee Berg. "Meeting the artists will provide the community an opportunity to discuss the artist’s methods and mediums and to view the art that graces the Library’s walls!”

The Forces of Nature exhibit will be on display through February. LAPP is now accepting applications for its next exhibit, "Burst of Color," to go on display in March at the Library.

The is located at Eight Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about the program, call 951-304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at Murrietalibrary.info.
