Readers' Choice: Plateau Offers Best Hike
Locals rate the Santa Rosa Plateau as their favorite hiking spot.
Murrieta Patch readers voted the their favorite nearby place to take a hike.
Fifty-nine percent of 27 votes in went to the Reserve, which boasts miles of trails located just west of Murrieta.
Tied for second place were Mt. Palomar and the San Jacinto Mountains. Each got 16 percent each of the vote as favorite spots to breathe in the fresh air.
