Lights in Sky Sighted

A strange sight in Murrieta's sky left residents awestruck and speculating about its origins.

A bright light appeared around 6 p.m. someplace around Temecula, broke into two to four pieces and faded away as it drifted slowly downward, according to several witnesses.

Information was unavailable from the sheriff's department, NASA and Camp Pendleton officials two hours after the phenomenon was spotted.
