I-215 Closure Scheduled for Murrieta

The interstate will be closed two nights at Clinton Keith Road.

Motorists are advised that Interstate 215 at Clinton Keith Road in Murrieta will be closed in both directions between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. two nights this week: Thursday, April 28  and Friday, April 29.

The closures are part of the City of Murrieta's continuing construction of the new $12.6-million interchange at the interchange, said Shelli Lombardo, spokesperson for Caltrans.

A detour will be clearly marked, according to Lombardo.

"Freeway traffic will utilize the ramps at Clinton Keith as a detour around the work zone. The bridge will be closed and no turns will be permitted from the flow of (detoured freeway) traffic," she said.

Motorists and residents were advised to use other local exits from Interstate 215 to reach their destinations. Clinton Keith Road will closed from McElwain on the west  to Whitewood on the east; local traffic use Linnel Lane, Lomardo said.
