UPDATE: I-15 Slow Lane in Temecula Remains Closed

Caltrans closed the slow lane on northbound Interstate 15 just south of Temecula for an emergency repair Thursday afternoon.

UPDATE 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2: Repair work continues on the Temecula Creek Bridge, causing the closure of the slow lane on northbound Interstate 15 north of the Temecula Border Patrol Checkpoint at Temecula Parkway.

"The lane remains closed," said Shelli Lombardo, spokesperson for Caltrans District 8, in an email to Patch. "Crews are working to re-open the lane between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. today."

Original estimates were that the lane would reopen at 10 a.m. Friday.

UPDATE 8:35 p.m.: The slow lane on northbound Interstate 15 just before Temecula at Temecula Parkway will remain closed overnight, Caltrans reported.

The lane was closed at about 4 p.m. Thursday for an emergency repair. The nature of the work was not disclosed.

Caltrans estimated the work would be completed and the lane reopened by 10 a.m. Friday, according to a Twitter post sent at 8:30 p.m. tonight.

Caltrans closed the number four lane--slow lane--of northbound Interstate 15 at Temecula Creek Bridge just south of Temecula for emergency repair.

"Anticipate minor delays," said Shelli Lomardo, spokesperson for Caltrans District 8, in an email notification.

Crews were on foot at the closure when the email was sent at about 4:04 p.m. Thursday.

"Please comply with the Move Over Law by moving over an extra lane. Slow down, move over and help save a life," Lombardo said.
