Get Out: Five Ideas for Your Weekend

Save trees and enjoy a free cup of coffee with your Easter cupcakes and Colomba Pasquale this weekend.

With both Easter and Earth Day this weekend, there are a lot of opportunities to have some fun. Just make sure you find all of those eggs; there’s nothing fun about finding a little pastel-colored egg way up on a high shelf sometime in November.

This weekend you can try a delicious, sweet Italian Easter bread; hunt for elusive, treat-filled eggs and maybe plant a tree or two.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case

Why Go: Starbucks is inviting patrons to bring in a reusable mug or tumbler to get a free brewed coffee or tea. If you don’t have a tumbler or travel mug and want to buy one, they will be on sale for 20% off. You can also request a "for here" mug, and the drink inside it will be on the house.

Why Go: The Easter Bunny will hide 10,000 treat-filled eggs in the park this weekend. Kids 2 and younger and those with special needs will have a special designated hunt area and kids ages 3-10 will be divided up by age at staggered times throughout the day to make the hunting as fair as possible. Why Go: In celebration of Easter, Le Croissant is baking fresh Colomba Pasquale, a sweet and special Italian Easter bread baked with orange and lemon zest and topped with a delicious almond glaze. They will also be making French toast with the bread all weekend long.

Why Go: This bake shop’s amazing cupcakes are all dressed up for Easter with adorable sugar bunnies and Easter eggs peeking out of sweet frosting. As you know, Truly Madly Sweetly bakes up the Easter Bunny would definitely endorse.
