Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

What is that falling from the sky?

Bet on flying golf balls, hop the trolley to a suds fest and build a boat that floats this weekend.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case.

When/Where: 3-9 p.m. this Friday at

Why Go: This fundraiser for the is for women of all ages. It will feature entertainment, testimony, shopping, music, dinner and dessert. Childcare will be provided and the kiddies can enjoy bouncy jumps, games, pizza and prizes.

Pricing: $30 donation, $5 for kids' activities

When/Where: 3:30 p.m. this Friday at formerly SCGA)

Why Go: Buy a numbered golf ball (or many of them) and watch them rain down from a helicopter during the Each numbered ball will then be placed in a giant bucket and dropped over a hole. The closest to the hole (or first in the hole) will win the Grand Prize of $500. Additional prizes will be awarded based on a balls proximity to the hole. Networking and promotional opportunities abound at this fun event.

Why Go: OK, this is a really cool event. You can transform your family into a team of boat builders and work together to build a safe and buoyant boat. Then, after construction, one family member will bravely climb inside, captain the boat, and race it in a pool against other families competing to win the very first Temecula Boat Regatta! How fun does that sound? Very "Flugtag." Limited to 100 participants. Pre-registration is required. 

Pricing: $3 per person

When/Where: Leave at 1 p.m. this Saturday and return at 7 p.m. from Brewen's Empire Trolley, 29924 Peach Tree Court, Murrieta

Why Go: There are a few sudsy stops on this fun trolley tour before you arrive at your main destination: The Stone 15th Anniversary Brew Festival. Once you get there (around 3 p.m.) you can enjoy 10 samples from over 40 breweries. There will be more than 100 beers plus homebrewed sodas, Mike's Beer Cheese and Arrogant Bastard Ale onion rings. You also get a commemorative 15th Anniversary tasting glass.

Pricing: $55 Brewen Empire Trolley Club Member, $75 Facebook Fan, $95 General Public

When/Where: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. this Saturday at the old shelter, 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore

Why Go: After doing some summer cleaning, Animal Friends of the Valleys will be having a garage sale at their old shelter. Shop for gently-used animal and office supplies including desks, file cabinets, chairs, washers and dryers, chain link dog run panels, bowls, carriers, bird cages, aquariums, and hamster supplies. 

Pricing: Donations for items would be appreciated
