Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

A free Brewer Boys Band concert and hundreds of microbrews make this weekend truly effervescent.

Get ready for a "brew"-haha this weekend's starting with this Saturday's free concert in the park featuring the talented Brewer Boys Band. The frothy fun continues with a microbrew and craft beer fest packed with breweries offering tasty suds. Top it all off with ice-cold pitchers while you watch the Women's World Cup finals at Spelly's.

Why Go: Kids can learn to swirl the tops of cupcakes in rainbow colors using a "paint brush" made from a pretzel rod. No baking required. Don't forget to bring a box for the finished treats. You can also buy a box at the class. There will also be for kids from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. on the same day.

Why Go: This free event is what summer is all about. The fun begins at 6 p.m. with patriotic games and a chance to make a card to send to the military. Wartime Radio Revue's 16-piece band will perform hits from the '30s and '40s at 7 p.m.  Vendors will be selling burgers hot dogs, lemonade and apple pie. The special "Balloon Glow" begins at dusk.

Why Go: This show is part of Murrieta's free Summer Concerts in the Park series. The Brewer Boys are Justin and Nathan, a duo who sing everything from new country and pop to classic rock and bluegrass. In addition to their original songs, the boys perform songs from the Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash, Journey and more.

Why Go: Enjoy two one-topping pizzas and a pitcher of beer while you watch the Women's World Cup finals on the big projection screen.
