Get Out: Five Ideas for Your Weekend

Honor our military, travel Abbey Road and try a new ice cream flavor this weekend.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow/Between the crosses row on row...Memorial Day Weekend is a special time to honor those who have served, and died, for our country, and an also an opportunity to spend a little extra time with those we love.

Our goal is to make the Get Out planner as reliable as possible, but keep in mind, some events change at the last minute. We advise calling ahead just in case.

Ninety-six American flags honoring U.S. service members from Riverside and San Bernardino counties who have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom will fly.

Why Go: Murrieta hosts this special event that honors the wives of active duty military as well as mothers who currently serve in the military.  This event is a celebration of the service and commitment of these special women in our community. Mayor Kelly Bennett  will be the keynote speaker.  The salute will also include inspirational music, goodies and some fun surprises.Free childcare  for kids 14 and younger will be provided. Please RSVP as space is limited.
