Flash Flood Watch in Effect Through Midnight

A flash flood watch for most of southwest California was in effect through midnight Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

A flash flood watch for Riverside County valleys, mountains and desrts was expected to remain in effect until midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

"Monsoonal moisture and daytime heating will continue to bring scattered thunderstorms," to all of southwest California, NWS advised.

"Locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding are possible," NWS stated.

"You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued," NWS advised residents and motorists.
