Coming Soon! Murrieta Patch Gets a New Look

Next week, Patch will have a brand-new design and a whole new way to connect.

Hi, everyone! I have some exciting news to share about Patch – we’re getting a whole new look! It’s coming next week and it’s going to make Murrieta Patch easier to use, and a better place to connect and share. The best part? You’ll be able to see it all on your mobile phone!

Here’s what you need to know:

We’re including more great stories from your neighbors, right on the homepage. So you’ll have all of our local reporting, plus the latest know-how and opinion from local bloggers.

We’re adding Boards to make it easier for you to connect with each other, debate an issue or announce your garage sale, graduation or find a lost pet.

More to say? It will be easier to start your own blog, too. You’ll soon be able to start your own blog anytime, and so you can have a stronger voice in the community - or just share your expertise and opinion. And if you’re already a Local Voices blogger, these tools are much more streamlined and straightforward.

You’ll see all of this (and more) on Patch next week. For a sneak peek, check out Stonington-Mystic Patch.

i don't know how much control individual editors have over patch appearances, but fixed widths suck. i have a wide screen monitor and 6 inches of wasted space. instead of a fixed width the css should define a minimum width and a preferred width, say 80% or something, allowing it to grow wider on 16:9 monitors.

Not liking the new format so far. Much harder to find articles that are generating the most interest without the "what people are saying" feed, and all previous comments for any poster are inaccessable. Are you still tweeking things or is this permanent?
