Clear the Cobwebs for City Halloween Costume Exchange

Drop off costumes between Sept. 26-30 to Murrieta City Hall, Murrieta Senior Center or Murrieta Community Center and then return to find a costume between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Murrieta Community Center.

Start cleaning out those garages and closets and bring all your gently used Halloween costumes from past years to our Halloween Costume Exchange, says the City of Murrieta Community Services Department.

The city is hosting the exchange for the first time this year to promote reusing, recycling and a "save money" philosophy, said Special Events Coordinator, Laura Frasso.

Frasso said the idea for the exchange came from Mayor Randon Lane's wife, with the idea that every kid should have a costume to wear.

"No money will be exchanged and while we appreciate the reciprocation of give and take, we hope to have a costume for anyone that wants/needs one," Frasso said, in a news release.
