Camp Pendleton Live Training Sends Noise Through Valley

Sounds from mortar and artillery live fire training may be heard up to 50 miles from base depending on atmospheric conditions.

Noise from training exercises being conducted on Camp Pendleton may be heard in southwest Riverside County today and Friday.

The base advised sounds may carry up to 50 miles depending on atmospheric conditions.
