'Babysitting 101' Class Set for Murrieta Library

Attendees will learn safety tips and basic first-aid techniques in “Babysitting Overview 101," to be taught by Red Cross-trained instructor Mendy Rayford, according to a news release.

Teens between 11 and 18 years old who are interested in providing day care or babysitting services are encouraged to attend.

“This overview will help young entrepreneurs gain confidence so they can start their own babysitting business feeling confident and competent,” said Youth Services Librarian Joyce Lea Brown.

“It will provide them with the tools necessary to keep themselves and others safe, to make smart decisions, and to learn basic first-aid techniques. Teens who attend the presentation will learn how to be the best babysitter on the block."

There will be time allotted for questions after the 45-minute presentation, which begins at 10:30 a.m. April 12 in the Murrieta Public Library Community Room, Eight Town Square.
