3.0 San Jacinto Quake Felt in Murrieta

The 3.0-magnitude quake was felt from Temecula to Palm Springs.

A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook up parts of Riverside County today, and was felt from the Coachella Valley as far south as Murrieta.

The quake, which struck at 11:20 a.m. at a depth of nearly 10 miles, was centered near San Jacinto and three miles north of Hemet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey's website.

According to the USGS, the small temblor was felt in Mountain Center, Palm Springs, Idyllwild, Beaumont, Banning, Hemet, Murrieta, Perris and Temecula.
