Ripoff Report!

My wife and I purchased a sofa, coffee table and window treatments for the living room in our new home.  The owner, Kim, pointed out a "Sale" on floor models for the furniture items which were "one of a kind" and stated that "all sales are final".  We loved the sofa and coffee table and proceeded to inspect it very carefully for any damage since the two pieces were over $7K and the owner said sales were final.  The owners husband moved everything away from the two pieces so that we could be certain they were in perfect condition.  I also made it clear that for the sale to be final, it must arrive to my home in the same condition that I was purchasing it...she agreed. We paid via debit card and Kim arranged for the delivery.  Low and behold, the coffee table arrived at our home with a giant chunk of wood cracked off!  We immediately called Kim, sent pictures, and noted the damage with her delivery driver.  Instead of taking the table back and giving us the option of selecting a new table, she suggested we let her send an "expert" out to glue the chunk of wood back.  Obviously, this was not acceptable.  At a minimum, I would expect to have a credit towards the selection of a comparable table or a refund, since she failed to deliver a $3000 coffee table in the same condition for which we purchased.  She refused! In addition to this incident, Kim took a deposit for the custom window treatments (a couple thousand $$), and 4 months later... She's kept the money and never delivered the product!  Here's the catch:  she will send out another "expert installer" with the window coverings, but only after she receives 100% prepayment!  This wouldn't be an issue if she had established some level of credibility and provided the quality and service she pretends to offer!  With our luck and her track record, she'd have another $3500 bucks and would deliver some tattered junk!   DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS RIPOFF SCAMMER!
