Victims' Families For The Death Penalty: Leann Bell's story.

After 17 YEARS, the SENTENCE will finally be given October 23rd, 2013… "Justice" is NOT about the Murderer. It is about "what the Murderer CHOSE TO DO - in TAKING LIVES". The most severe consequences, for the MOST brutal and inhumane actions.

Another "regular" girl, just living her "ordinary" life when MURDER ended it.  I met this girl so many years ago, and would have never imagined MURDER would end my life too...  Taking my Saskia FOREVER...

I first met Leann Bell in 2000.  She was a beautiful blonde young woman just entering her 20’s, with the saddest eyes I’ve ever seen.  She was a bridesmaid in my future sister-in-laws wedding.  As we all sat in the living room putting together decorations for the tables and talking, Leann remained quiet.   My sister-in-law began talking about her parent’s role in the wedding, and tears began streaming down Leann’s face.  There was a sudden hush in the room, and my sister-in-law sat down to embrace Leann, apologizing.  I seemed to be the only one in the room who didn’t know her story.  So Leann, between sobs, told me her horrific tale.

Her parents, Judy and Arthur Bell, had been MURDERED – along with her boyfriends mother, Maribeth Munn, and bartender Lynn Noel – in the Firefighters’ Union Hall in 1996.  The tears flowed from Leann’s eyes as she described her loving and happy parents, with her heartfelt and poignant tale OF WHO THEY HAD BEEN, AND THE LIFE THEY HAD ONCE SHARED...

Inconsolable pain and unstoppable trembling caused her to pause time and again, as she told me the tale of this inconceivable tragedy.  Her parents had been visiting Munn, when two men entered to rob the bar.  All four Victims were ordered to get on their knees, and then were all shot execution style with a bullet to the head.  The two robbers made off with little more than $100.00 in cash…

The two men who KILLED these four, ALSO KILLED TWO OTHERS…  BOTH Scott Nordstrom AND Robert Jones WERE SENTENCED TO THE DEATH PENALTY.

“The Arizona Supreme Court on Tuesday set an execution date of Oct.23 for Robert Jones, 43, who killed six people during two armed robberies in Tucson in 1996.

In May of that year, Jones, a Texan who had just been released from prison five months earlier after serving time for a theft conviction, and his accomplice, Scott Nordstrom, robbed a smoke shop in Tucson and shot five people. A customer, Chip O’Dell, and a store employee, Tom Hardman, died in the shootings.

Two weeks later, Jones and Nordstrom robbed the Firefighters Union Hall in Tucson, killing the bartender, Maribeth Munn, and three club customers, Carol Lynn Noel and Judy and Arthur Bell.

Jones was sentenced to death SIX times, once for each murder.

Nordstrom was also sent to Arizona’s death row but has not been executed.”

17 YEARS later, the first of these two MURDERER’S will finally receive his SENTENCE tomorrow.

9th Circuit won't rehear case from Arizona inmate”

PHOENIX (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court has been asked to review the case of an Arizona death-row inmate scheduled to be executed this week.

Lawyers for Robert Glen Jones Jr. filed the petition with the nation's high court Monday after a federal appeals court declined a rehearing.

The 44-year-old Jones was sentenced to death for the fatal shootings of six people during two armed robberies in Tucson weeks apart in 1996.

He's scheduled to be executed by injection Wednesday at the state prison in Florence.

Jones' attorneys had asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for an evidentiary hearing, arguing that a now-deceased Pima County prosecutor withheld evidence at Jones' 1998 trial.

The 9th Circuit also denied a motion by Jones' lawyers to remand his case back to a district court.”

Leann Bell feels that death is the only justice for the two men.

"When these guys are put to death, I can START a new chapter in my life, but I can't start that new chapter in my life, I can't put it to rest UNTIL my parents' killers have seen justice, and they haven't seen justice as long as they're breathing air,” she said.

For all those who THINK REDEMPTION is possible, let us

NEVER FORGET that JONES WAS JUST RELEASED FROM PRISON before MURDERING ALL 6 PEOPLE…

And as we SHOULD be doing, let us REALLY LISTEN to the TRUTHS the Victim’s Families are speaking…

Each one of us, is so BRAVE to go on inside the NIGHTMARE each Murderer has turned our REALITY into…  Each one of us KNOWS, there is NO REVENGE to be found…  Each one of us who FACES MURDER, knows the IMPORTANCE of the ONLY TRUTH to be found here:

“To make sure the two men convicted of killing four people loved by so many, DON'T GET TO DO IT AGAIN.”
