Crime Victims Week 2013 - This issue of the DEATH PENALTY. To Society...

AS VICTIM, ALL outsiders turn away from me…  They don’t listen.  They won’t look.  They can’t SPEAK of this thing that has befallen us…  Mostly, because it scares the hell out of each and every one of them!  Standing in my place?  Losing a child, to MURDER?  Not just seeing my daughters MURDERED AND MUTILATED BODY DEAD on the floor, but also – being ATTACKED BY THE MURDERER?  They truly, just could never go there or do that!  So they can only think of how ANGRY they would feel, how VENGEFUL they would feel, if something like this happened to them – and displace their emotions onto me.  Happens EVERY DAY to me now, AS VICTIM.

I AM AN INTELLIGENT WOMAN, who walked through this life with my eyes wide open, my attention always on the details.  I got involved, and took responsibility for my own life, and for others.  I have much wisdom to offer from my enlightened position NOW, and it does nothing but make me so sad, that there is no to share it with, one willing to accept it. 

Yet I go one each day, talking, debating and always trying to enlighten people.  Most people’s understanding of the Death Penalty issue is wrong. This penalty will NEVER deter these types of MURDERERS placed on Death Row from committing these types of brutal and heinous murder.  Nothing will.  This is why we CAN ONLY PROTECT OURSELVES by giving each one the Death Penalty.  It keeps our society safe from this specific individual from ever taking another life…  

And then I move on, to the fact that, WHAT the Death Penalty offers to Victims and their families – is FREEDOM.  The freedom to take what pieces they can of their ruined lives and go forward, KNOWING they will never be forced to deal with the Justice System and their MURDERER ever again. Because going forward will be impossible enough, but if they face an uncertain future?  That once again in this new future, they would be forced to deal with the murderer by attending Parole hearings every 2-5 years for the rest of their MURDERERS LIFE if they are to KEEP the murderer behind bars?  Because in our failed Justice System EVERY VICTIMS FAMILY KNOWS that Life in Prison Without the Possibility of Parole is - a LIE!

And it never ceases to amaze me, people’s sheer stupidity when it comes to this issue of Life Without the Possibility of Parole.  Somehow, society thinks we lock these MURDERERS away for life and throw away the key!  They don’t see, how often these sentences are overturned or reduced, because of the MURDERER’S “good behavior behind bars”, and “overcrowding” in the Prisons…

In my discussions and debates on this subject, I find people can ALWAYS manage to find 'one thing' in opposition for keeping the Death Penalty...  For every million convicted murderers who ACTUALLY did it, we find one who we think was wrongly accused.  What is right for one Victim's family in sentencing, is NOT for another.  And here, let me note: As a VICTIM and the Mother of a MURDERED CHILD - I would never oppose how ANY Victim's family views sentencing, and firmly believe their idealism for Justice should be profoundly considered by every Judge, for every case of Murder!

We, however, are that one case in opposition to losing the Death Penalty- that we will never be safe again, EVER, if our Mass Murderer is NOT put to death.  And my SURVIVING children deserve LIFE.  A life that will not only be free of this MURDERER and the JUSTICE SYSTEM in their futures, but also a life that is NOW - free from threat, free from another murderous attack.  Our murderer CHOSE TO STAB US ALL TO DEATH, and failed to kill us all.  And that threat will never go away...   But what he has done to our lives NOW, BY attacking, has brought us to the attention of some pretty crazy racist wackos.  And THESE people persecute us amongst their crazy followers, and call for the annihilation of the white race in their crazy writings.  And because these people are PROTECTED by freedom of speech?  OUR FAMILY NOW LIVES WITH THE DANGER OF BEING ATTACKED AT ANY TIME, AGAIN, BY ONE OF THESE CRAZY FOLLOWERS WHO JUST MIGHT COME TO FINISH WHAT GARY FAILED TO DO!  Can you even imagine, after all Gary has already done to us, LIVING WITH THIS?  Well, this is our life now, thanks to Gary.   We simply need him dead, so there is no more focus on him, or us.  So these heinous racist monsters can stop persecuting us, AND STOP BEING JUST OUTRIGHT CRUEL TO OUR MURDERED DAUGHTER SASKIA!

Nothing will reduce the murder rate in our society, unless society itself changes. Open their eyes, and gets involved. Actually become a community that realizes and accepts its responsibility to raising ALL the children, to speaking up and speaking out when things aren’t right.   Fixing what is so broken within our police departments, so that they MUST take action when dangerous activities are reported, instead of waiting until AFTER something has happened.  Allow the LIFE of EACH VICTIM to be as important in court as the life of each MURDERER is treated and fix what is so broken in the Judicial System so it works for the Victims and their Families, instead of ONLY FOR the MURDERER.  By fixing the process of sentencing, not only to guarantee we will never execute an innocent person, but to also guarantee to Victims – who have already been waiting YEARS for Justice, that this sentence will be given within one year, so they are FREE to start this “NEW LIFE” given to them by the MURDERER.  Ensuring for all people, our society as a whole remains PROTECTED AND SAFE by actually executing all those who have been on Death Row for SO LONG - NOW…

But we never will do any of this.  Not in this society, not ever.

We therefore, need the Death Penalty to PROTECT OURSELVES AGAINST ANOTHER INEVITABLE MURDER.  And protect society from itself, and its failure to take these necessary actions…
