Test Drive a Car to Benefit Murrieta Valley High

Rancho Ford Lincoln of Temecula is partnering with Murrieta Valley High School to raise funds for extracurricular activities. For each car test-driven on May 21, the school will receive $20.

Ford Motor Company and Rancho Ford Lincoln are partnering with Murrieta Valley High School to help raise money for the school as part of Ford’s "Drive One 4 UR School" program.

Members of the Murrieta/Temecula community can help raise up to $6,000 for Murrieta Valley High School by test driving a new car at Rancho Ford Lincoln of Temecula.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday May 21, for every person from a unique household who test drives a 2011 Taurus, Fusion Hybrid or Sport, Edge, Fiesta, Mustang, Lincoln MKT or F150, the dealership will donate $20 to Murrieta Valley High School.

Murrieta Valley High School will use the funds raised to support their band, choir, athletics, clubs and other extracurricular activities, said Karen Parris, spokesperson for the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

“We’re excited to help raise money for Murrieta Valley High School. We know it is important that students continue to have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and that’s why over the past three years it has been our privilege to help support these important programs at local high schools,” said Isaac Lizarraga, vice president and general manager of Rancho Ford Lincoln.

“In previous years we have supported extracurricular activities at Chaparral, Great Oak High and Temecula Valley schools using the 'Drive One 4 UR School' program, raising over $10,000.”

Since the start of Ford’s "Drive One 4 UR School" program in 2007, more than 173,000 people have helped raise more than $3.3 million for nearly 1,000 high schools across the country.
