A new look for Kohl’s in Murrieta was revealed this week.
The Murrieta store is among 30 that the Wisconsin-based company chose to remodel this year, according to a news release.
Patch stopped by Kohl’s, 24661 Madison Avenue, Thursday morning and was given a tour by Store Manager Tony Meyer.
Construction on the remodeling project began in June but the store stayed open, according to Meyer.
The updated look includes new flooring in all departments, with laminate wood flooring in the shoes and home departments. There is also more seating in the shoe department.
Another change is a new ladies fitting room area with lounge seating.
The exterior was also painted, as were most interior walls, Meyer said.
A few registers were also added, and the customer service department is now at the front of the store if entering from the Kalmia Street entrance.
The Murrieta store opened 10 years ago in 2003, according to Meyer.
The remodeling project was done with the customer experience in mind, he said.
Guests will also notice new shopping carts, updated jewelry, cosmetics and fragrance sections and various other upgrades throughout the store, according to Meyer.
