A failed transformer briefly blacked out 57 businesses and homes in Murrieta on Sunday, according to Southern California Edison.

A failed transformer briefly blacked out 57 businesses and homes in Murrieta on Sunday, according to Southern California Edison.

The power outage was reported at 6:52 a.m. as equipment malfunctioned at 24913 Avenida Sombra. Two locations in Murrieta remained without power by 10:33 a.m. as repairmen worked on the transformer, according to SCE.
