Mulligan to Add Water Park in Murrieta This Summer

The Water Park will consist of five speed slides, multi-level platforms, interactive aquatic controls, vibrant colors, spray nozzles and a Big Splash Pumping Station.

Kids, ages 3-13, will have a new way to cool off when opens Phase 1 of a new Water Park this summer.

According to a Mulligan Family Fun Center news release, the center's Water Park will consist of five speed slides, multi-level platforms, interactive aquatic controls, vibrant colors, spray nozzles and a Big Splash Pumping Station.

The area where Blaster Boats is currently located will be torn down in March, according to Scott Agajanian with Mulligan, to make way for the Water Park.

“The water slides are geared to families with children between 3-13 years, but the custom western theming and creativity provided by R&R Design will appeal to the kid in all of us,” Agajanian said.

Mulligan Family Fun Center opened in March 1996 and currently features golfing, racing, Lazer Tag and more.

Agajanian said the center hopes to open Phase 1 of the Water Park by Memorial Day weekend. Later plans for the park include adding more water features.

"We eventually want to be a water park," Agajanian said, adding that the area really needs one.

Plans include keeping arcade games, Lazer Tag, some kiddie rides and the go karts. Everything else will likely be taken down to add more water features, he said.
