Gas Prices in Area Set Thanksgiving Day High

Despite dropping for 43 of the past 45 days, the $3.78 price per gallon is 4.5 cents higher than the mark set last year.

 

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire set a Thanksgiving Day record high today at $3.782, despite decreasing 43 of the previous 45 days.


The previous high for Thanksgiving in Riverside and San Bernardino counties was $3.737, set last year, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 90.6 cents over the previous 45 days to
its lowest amount since July 25.


The average price is 1.1 cents more than one year ago, but 4.2 cents
less than one week ago and 67 cents lower than a month ago.
