An elderly woman was transported for minor injuries suffered in a crash Tuesday afternoon on Jackson Avenue in Murrieta.
Multiple callers reported the wreck just before 5:30 p.m. at the entrance to the Ralph's shopping center.
The crash was not far from the site of a sinkhole on California Oaks Road that was already causing traffic backup in the area.
Murrieta police were on scene directing motorists.
The woman, who was driving a maroon sedan, suffered minor injuries, according to Murrieta police Sgt. Don Weller.
The other vehicle involved appeared to be a Toyota 4runner or similar model SUV.
