1 Injured in Rollover at Scott Road Onramp to I-215

CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighter/paramedics responded to free a person who became trapped in the rollover crash.

One person was injured Thursday night in a rollover crash on the northbound Scott Road onramp to Interstate 215 at the Murrieta-Menifee border, authorities reported.

The injured party, a female, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries suffered in the crash that was reported at 9:01 p.m. Thursday, according to Melody Hendrickson, spokeswoman for CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.

The woman became trapped in her vehicle when it rolled, Hendrickson wrote in an incident report.

Eleven firefighter/paramedics responded to the scene, where they used the cut-and-rescue method to free her, according to Hendrickson. She was rescued by 9:12 p.m.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Hendrickson.

As of 9:35 p.m., the rolled vehicle was perched near the top of the northbound onramp and was blocking access for other motorists, according to California Highway Patrol's incident Web page.
