The popular art show at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve returns for its 15th year with a celebratory opening night to include a special concert…”The Artbeat of Bluegrass….and a little bit of country and a little bit of pop” with The Brewer Boys. The opening night ticketed event is July 7, doors open at 6:00 pm and concert begins at 7:00. The art show will continue opened to the public free of charge July 8 – August 11. The event benefits the Santa Rosa Plateau Foundation’s children education programs at the Reserve. The education programs serve over 7,000 students per year from 10 school districts. The Foundation’s education programs are comprised of on-site and in-classroom for third, six, seven and eight grade students.

The concert will take place in the new outdoor stage venue surrounded by the Reserve’s Engelmann and Coast Live Oaks. “It is only fitting that the teenage brother duo of Justin and Nathan Brewer be our first musical performers at the new venue to celebrate the 15th year of the art show”..said Ginger Greaves Executive Director of the Foundation, “We are all about connecting youth to nature…and the art show benefits the children’s programs at the Reserve. How better can it be…art, music, nature and youth all in one evening?” The Brewer Boys made it to the top 17 of the X-Factor talent show.

For the past fourteen years, the Reserve has hosted the summer art show that has grown in popularity as it has expanded the variety of art exhibited. Beginning in 1997 as a photograph exhibition, the annual artistic showcase has featured oil, pastel, watercolor and acrylic paintings along with bronze sculptures, and an assortment of photographs in as many styles and techniques as can be imagined.

Intended to present examples of the Reserve’s esthetic qualities, the annual exhibit captures moments that document a time, experience and memory of a natural place. Art exhibited is that of award winning local artists who donate a portion of their proceeds from the art sales to benefit the children’s education programs.

Advance tickets required for the July 7 opening night concert and reception can be purchased at www.srpf.org or at the Visitor Center at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, 39400 Clinton Keith Road, Murrieta, 92562. Multiple ticket discounts for online purchases.
