Evening Family Storytime

Kids and parents can wear their pajamas to the new series of evening storytimes offered on the first Tuesday night of the month at 7 p.m. beginning on September 4 in the Murrieta Library’s Community Room. Family Storytime is an interactive half-hour program of books, songs, and activities for the whole family.

“Reading is an important and fun activity to experience with your child. Studies show that pre-bedtime reading helps to create a routine for the child, which helps with the sleeping patterns, and encourages emotional bonding as well as intellectual development in their language and speech skills. This program is enjoyable for everyone in the family and informative for parents who want to nurture a child's passion for books,” said Youth Services Librarian Allison Eagans. Family Storytime will be held on the first Tuesday night of the month through the early winter season: October 2nd, November 6th, & December 4th and is free and open to the public.

The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about the program, call (951) 304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info.
